Suyash studied Audiology and Speech Language Pathology at the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, USA. He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark. Previously, he studied psychophysics under the guidance of Dr. Walt Jeateadt at Boys Town National Research and has been involved in studies on mechanisms of masking and loudness perception in normally hearing and hearing-impaired listeners.

Suyash completed his PhD in the lab of Prof. Bastian Epp and Prof. Torsten Dau at the Technical University of Denmark where he developed a computational model of the auditory nerve fiber responses to electrical stimulation. As a postdoc in the same lab, he focused on modelling the psychophysical performance of cochlear implant listeners using the modelled auditory nerve responses to electrical stimulation.

Suyash joined our lab as a postdoc in May 2020.
